A satellite organization of The Gingerbread Guild, which is acknowledged as an enterprise of social economy, The Gingerbread Batch had to do its homework in a short time, elaborating a convincing business plan for its future development; Kathleen Lafrenière, a marketing consultant, directs the project.
In spite of its young expertise, The Gingerbread Batch organizes a first promotional event, �The Chefs' Batch�, the purpose of which is to roll our first FAIR cookie dough and to throw some new light on The Gingerbread Guild, who invites the people to take part in miscellaneous organized activities. This event is meant to be a gathering of chef cooks, bakers or confectioners (and of quite a few volunteers!), in order to promote a quality education for all children.
For the time being, The Batch's pastry activities take place at �Le Dialogue�, whose chef and owner Mr. Benoît Hogue is a sponsor of The Guild. Although it is only a few months old, having received its letters of patent on July 26 2004, The Gingerbread Batch is ready to face the future with its number of projects and challenges.
