« The Chefs’ Chore: A Let’s-get-together Project ! »

On the sunny Sunday of September 26 2004 the first batch of The Chefs’ Chore, an event organized by The Gingerbread Guild, was baked at Saint-Jean-de-Matha.

There was a synergetic collaboration between various “Mathalese” associations: The Volunteer Firemen, The Golden Age Club and the Municipal Council fittingly represented by the mayor, Mr. Normand Champagne. The day was given a lot of life by the Bernèche School 4th, 5th and 6th forms, under the direction of Ms. Manon Geoffroy, Marie-Andrée Laliberté and Nathalie Lambert.

ALPHABUS welcomed the younger ones aboard for the Tales Hour, with “Annie-Seed” (Ms. Marie-Claude Grandchamp) and “Mary-Cinnamon” (Ms. Marie-Élaine Gravel) at the helm.

At The Saint-Jean-de-Matha Cultural Center, the atmosphere was unreservedly dynamic during the activities organized for small and big people.

Let’s underline the collaboration of the Municipal Library, which rose to the occasion with its kiosk of wonderful books for children and parents. Hats off to you, Ms. Léonard!

The Organizing Comity wants to thank its sponsors, invaluable partners in the realization of this project:

1- the LA NORMANDE bakery (Saint-Jean-de-Matha)
2- the NATREL dairy (Saint-Jean-de-Matha)
3- the BOUCHER Métro supermarket (Saint-Jean-de-Matha)
